From insight to execution in complex transactions

Regional depth. Institutional rigour.

Firm Story & Founding Vision

On-the-ground presence
in Central Asia's most active deal markets
Institutional pedigree
Our experience is built on our years of work at Goldman Sachs, Apollo Global Management and Kazatomprom
Capital and conviction
On select transactions, we act as principals — committing our own capital
Odhin was founded on one clear observation. The most significant opportunities in Central Asia circulate within a closed group of local participants, while international institutions best placed to support them sit outside that circle.
The region's key resource markets — uranium, critical minerals and energy — operate on trust built over years, in specific institutions and in specific languages. Odhin was built to bridge that divide.
The firm's Financial Institution practice grew from the same conviction applied to a different market: that early-stage fintechs and European financial institutions entering new markets need advisers who carry credibility with the capital providers and regulators they are approaching.
Our partners held senior positions at leading global financial institutions, bringing deep networks and decades of transaction experience to every engagement.

What Makes Odhin Different

A Central Asian specialist

Our management team originates from Kazakhstan, bringing cultural fluency, deep market expertise and relationships. This allows our clients to access proprietary deal flow in the region.

We speak institutional language

Our partners have held roles across leading financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs and Apollo; and Central Asia's leading natural resources companies such as Kazatomprom and KazMunaiGas joint ventures.

We back our own judgement

On select transactions, Odhin acts in the capacity of a principal — committing capital to the opportunities we recommend. It reflects the conviction we bring to the transactions we are involved in, and it aligns our interests directly with the outcome.

What We Stand for

Relationships first

The quality of our counsel depends entirely on the quality of our relationships — we protect both with equal care.

Discretion

We engage with senior level stakeholders across government, capital markets and industry. Discretion is our currency.

Conviction over volume

We only take on a small number of mandates at any one time — only those we can execute with full attention.

Aligned interests

We structure engagements to reflect shared outcomes where possible. Our most productive client relationships have endured across multiple mandates and market cycles.

Services offered

Capital Introduction

We introduce institutional investors — private equity funds, family offices, and corporates — to specific Central Asian opportunities. We look to understand the specific criteria of an investor and match them to opportunities where we have proprietary access.

Transaction Advisory

We sit side-by-side with clients through the full life of a transaction. We assemble the right legal, financial and technical advisers around each opportunity. Our role is to anticipate how decisions will be made on each side of the table and to ensure our clients are represented accordingly.

Market Entry

Entering Central Asia requires more than a market study. We provide a considered entry strategy grounded in the regulatory environment, commercial conventions, and access to key stakeholders across government, capital markets and industry.

Strategic Partnerships

Local partnership is the cornerstone of any successful market entry into Central Asia. We guide clients through the critical process of identifying the right partners across sectors and stages of growth — opening doors and establishing a meaningful presence from day one.
